Mark is one of the founders and co-directors of One Rock, and leads the Sanctuary community in central London – both of which are involved with online discipling of young adults into spiritually mature leaders who make an impact for the Kingdom. He’s also a trustee with Fresh Expressions, and has written biographies on John Wesley and William Wilberforce. He supports Liverpool FC, loves talking about good films, and going for long walks with Joanna.
Why are you passionate about digital?
Because so many people are there and engaging with it. Through digital you can find people searching for what you are able to offer.
Name a hero of yours and why?
William Wilberforce: He took on the financial system of his day to win a victory for millions of suffering people, and did it all because as a follower of Jesus he felt called to get involved.
What can people expect from your session?
An understanding of the opportunities for churches that want to try something in the digital world.
What most excites you about #PremDAC20 (other than your own session!)?
The fact that more churches and Christians are wanting to engage with people online, and are coming here to learn and be inspired.
